Hockenheim

Tyler put together a stunning drive from 20th on the grid up to 10th in his rookie f3 race.  It was an uphill battle all weekend but Tyler came through with excellent results for the BVM Target squad.

Tyler overcame great odds to show his potential in one of the world’s premier Formula 1 feeder series.  Electrical problems sidelined the team for 2 of the 3 hours of testing on Friday.  First a battery failure, then a blown fuse left Tyler stranded on the circuit, until Track crew felt it was safe to return the car to the pits.  With a few minutes left on the clock the team tried to get some valuable data for Saturdays qualifying.

Tyler set to compete in Germany Print E-mail
Friday, 04 June 2010 19:18

Next week Tyler will be back to Europe for the German round of the Italian Formula 3 championship.    Back with the BVM Racing crew, one of Italy’s premier teams.  He will once again be competing as Intrepid’s official supported driver.  The race is in the famous Hockenheimring, just an hour from Frankfurt.

Tyler returns to Europe with a vendetta after his misfortune in Le Castellet France.  During the 8-hour race with only a lap into his stint the throttle cable broke, ending his race early.  This time he hopes to make his mark on the prestigious F3 category, returning to the front of the pack.

With the support of Burmester Audio, Clearbrook Iron Works, M&L Painting, Neuhomes.com, Palcor, and Premier Pacific Group this race is made possible.

February 24th-26th Lemans Test Print E-mail

Last week Tyler made his début test behind the wheel of a LMP2 Lemans Prototype.  It was a week of firsts for the Canadian driver, a new team, new car, and a new circuit.  Despite all this Tyler impressed the team, with his speed and technical feedback.

Lemans Test

On the 23rd of February the team arrived in Castelloli Spain a new track near Barcelona.  Tyler learned the track on a familiar piece of equipment, the Formula Renault 2.0.  “The circuit is interesting, resembling the major altitude changes of Infineon Raceway in California.  The first corner you must be very efficient on the throttle because you have to climb a steep hill.  Lots of mid speed corners a few hairpins, and a few high-speed corners make it a good test track.  After a few sessions I think I had the layout pretty figured out.”
