Tyler Dueck was born on December 17, 1986 in Manitoba Canada. When he was 4 years old the Dueck's moved to Abbotsford BC Canada. At the age of 10 Tyler received his first kart and he developed a passion for racing.

Since the age of 10 Tyler's weekends were spent at the race track. At an early age Tyler was immersed in the automotive scene. His father, Doug Dueck also an automotive enthusiast, took him to the Molson Indy Vancouver every year. With this love for racing the two decided to look into racing for themselves. Tyler and Doug stumbled upon krating at a car show. Shortly after that they bought Tyler's first kart and raced with Westwood Karting, the the local kart club.

Tyler learned the mechanics of racing at an early age. With his father developing his business Tyler was forced to maintain, and engineer his own karts by the age of 11. When Tyler was 12 Pitts Performance, and Doug Fleming saw something in the young kid and let him build engines in there California shop. This was a unique and difficult upbringing, but through this Tyler Developed into one of North Americas top karters and kart tuners.
